    i don’t mean to flame here but what’s this like a school project and/or his 1st time?
    i understand that he wanted us to see the card going in but next time lay the pc on it’s side it’s easier to work in
    when i took my A+ they were saying to use a ground strap thing but i never use one and i don’t even unplug the power cord when i work on my pc unless i’m changing the power supply

    No, PCI slot is were you sound, graphics, and network cards go. They are white in all computers and they are fatter than the memory slot.
