A gang using easily available software break into a WEP protected wireless network and find out what a surfer has been up to as well as having access to his computer and his internet connection.

No, this is for real. WEP encryption is very weak, and can be cracked in minutes, 10 at most. WPA is better, but can also be craked. Use WPA-2 with AES and TKIP is possible - most modern routers (firmwar upgraded) support it, if you also have the relevant OS updates.

Set up your network and then set up your router so it doesn’t broadcast itself, they can’t hack you if they can’t see you!
