    Dont need to reset the BIOS, all non mac computer use the F8 command on startup, then just pick the drive that has the linux disk in it. Just hit F8 as the computer posts.

    Only games created for Linux should be able to run on Ubuntu. But i dont really recommend games on linux.

    I’m no expert on ubuntu but I do know that from my experience you have to like troubleshooting alot to use ubuntu. It still has a long way to go before it will be useful to the average person. Learn to use a command line interface too…you’ll need it.

    I installed MagicISO, cracked it, and burnt the ISO to the CD. It was easy breexy from there on! I just checked, and my HDD doesn’t need to be defragged. I’ll be booting up the LiveCD and getting used to my new OS soon. :)

    t depends on the mirrors I think. I went thorugh 3 of them. University of utah said 12 hours before download is compleate. It took 30 minutes to get 1%. I closed it and went through another mirror and it took about and 11 hour and 30 min to get it completed

    The best thing to do is try to find a better mirror. I found one for the I386 ISO and it only took 1 and a 1/2 hours. But yeah I cn be patient with anything/ I am trying freeBSD and its so frigging complicated

    mine downloaded in 2 hours using a 2mb connection. If you are having trouble downloading it, order the cd free from the ubuntu website.

    You can burn the ISO using any operating system. But to install Ubuntu you will need to run the installation disc/livecd on startup.
