how do u do it without getting the cd? i downloaded it directly to my hard drive (after waiting for download complete for literally a whole day), but its like all distorted, and each file has to be opened seperately, in other words, its the same as putting a pc-only-cd in a mac. It said that there was no root file found for any of the areas that I choose. I would have use the default option of cleaning the entire harddrive, but I really wanted to be able to dual boot besides, never used linuxs before.

  10. Sawta Says:

    Oh, I just realized …
Oh, I just realized that I didn’t need to use bootcamp to partiton my hard drive, since ubuntu would do it for me anyway. After re-partitioning the HD, it still worked fine, but I am continually running into the error message about a root file missing. If anyone has an idea of what I’m forgetting, please let me know.

  11. Sawta Says:

    You can ignore my …
You can ignore my question by this point. Through dumb luck, I stumbled apon a way to get it running. The partition is a tad small, only about 5 or 6 gigs, but assuming that you’ll cover on how to expand the partition in your later video’s I don’t have any immediate questions.
