In my experience, any time you want to reach a network printer that is not installed on your office PC then you will end up calling in the IT guys. Unless you have a lot of time to waste, don’t even bother trying to do this yourself.

I love my Mac .. …
I love my Mac .. but believe me .. printer configuration sux on Macs and PCs. It is a shame, that printers act in general strange and you need luck to configure them fast.

If you had any …
If you had any clues about how networking and Windows work, you would have known that:
1. Properly configured and shared printer will automatically show up in the menu just like you saw on your beloved Mac.
2. You can expand workstations or servers in the list when you search for a printer and see the printer that you are looking for.
3. And your usage of the control panel with simple view instead of the classic view blew away your credibility.

Never had any of these problems when I install a network printer. It’s pretty much the same as with the mac.

You didn’t show how …
You didn’t show how the printer was actually installed to the network i.e. getting IP address, routers etc. You should show that.
