FIX: Problem FIXED. After 10 months Toshiba finally released a working BIOS. It’s similar to 4.10 but has 64-bit compatibility aswell. Get it here, version 4.20.

Warning: Your fans may not work after updating your BIOS (BETA or OFFICIAL). Reinstall your drivers after the BIOS update to get them to work again! I am not responsible if something goes wrong.

Basically an example on how my nvidia 7900gs go wont stop stuttering making any game or video application impossible to play/watch. I’m using Halo 2 for PC to show this problem. This is problem pertains to laptops with Nvidia hardware + Windows Vista + Toshiba (and maybe other OEMs).
Laptop: Toshiba P105-S9337
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Video card: Nvidia Geforce Go 7900 GS
Why you people are … Why you people are trying to seem so smart, but don’t even bother to read other comments. It is the driver problem, not the processor, ram or even (that’s funny) the game disc corrupt.
My goal was to say … My goal was to say that the hardware power of that laptop is enough for those games, and when people came with “the processor is too wick or you need more RAM”…they understand NOTHIG.
SLI is for 2 video … SLI is for 2 video cards, p105-9337 has just ONE.. you m*** f** shut your mouth when you don’t know what is all about. Maybe you are right about windows support , BUT SLI is nothing to do with..
First of all, … First of all, laptops have always had slow, low power processors and the nVidia driver is very CPU hungry. It realy needs the full power of a desktop CPU. Also, running the game at a resolution other than the native resolution of that LCD screen can slow it down and cause a lot of ghosting.
If this is true … If this is true then how is it that some Dells/Alienwares/Acers with the same GPU and similar GPUs dont have this issue running Vista? Their games run perfectly fine. The hardware is totally capable of running this game or any game thrown at it today. By the way, I was running this particular match 1024×768.
Please let us know … Please let us know when the OFFICIAL 4.1 bios for Toshiba is avilable. With all th weird fan problems of the beta 4.1 I don’t dare use it. My p100 came with a 7600 Go card by the way. It is definitely not GPU or Vista specific.. it is the BIOS.
New 4.20 OFFICIAL … New 4.20 OFFICIAL Toshiba BIOS is out. It’s almost the same as the 4.10 (fans on all the time) except this one has “64-bit OS support”
Not sure if that … Not sure if that update is out there, but try using a Laptop cooler and elevating the laptop so it has better air flow. This may be partially do to heat, but I think the BIOS fix will definitely help allot.
Good all Def, yea I … Good all Def, yea I am getting a laptop cooler for Xmas. Since then I believe a new Bis has come out as well. Gonna try that, and I hope Nvidia can churn out a decent driver for my g7600 card that came with my system.
