No, it is not a fact, it is a theory, however it is the most PROVABLE theory. And a theory is a way of explaining reality that fits the facts as we see them today. So maybe God created the universe, then hid all the evidence. If he did, evolution is still the most provable way of explaining what we see in the universe.

Scientific theory …
Scientific theory is different from the “theory”. In science, and life, it is impossible to prove something. This is because we can’t run though every situation out there, so the term theory was created. It mens that it hasn’t been proven wrong, it only takes one false example to disprove a theory. Take the THEORY of relativity, so for no one has disproved it, but we haven’t run through every situation. Until something disproves it it remains true. THAT is what a theory is!
