Is there a way to do this without having to resort to buying a Mac? I am not excessively fond of the Mac OS and I think they are horrendously overpriced. Could I not just dual boot a PC with a distro of Linux and XP and do the same thing, eliminating the middle man? Is there something like this for Linux??

I assume that parallels 2.02 for windows has the same capabilities and parallels 2.02 for mac, and when i upgraded from parallels 2.02 to parallels 3 on my mac there were not a lot of major changes except for that it allowed support for direct x 8 (some games).
