Actionscript 2.0 is the default language for Flash 8. Go File>Publish Settings… and look for “Actionscript version” under the “Flash” tab.

i have to learn action script and i kind of get it but if ur putting actions on the button like if u press f9 then make it as a symbol or movie clip but what is the graphics is there tutorials on that?

graphics is what the name is “graphics” but i rather make it into a movieclip because i think the graphics symbol is useless
