In addition to …
In addition to normal network file sharing and USB flash drives, I’ve used Bluetooth file sharing for this a few times in the past (the requirement being that both computers have Bluetooth, of course). In fact I’ve been meaning to set it up between my Macbook Pro and XP laptop, because I like the fact that the Bluetooth method doesn’t require me to poke any holes in my network firewalls.
