http://live.pirillo.com - After DBAN finished running on the computer I am giving away, I threw in an Ubuntu disc, and ten minutes later had a fully baked Operating System on the computer.

I have a nice HP …
I have a nice HP pavillion laptop which was basically useless running windows XP.. slow.. buggy etc. So much so, that I bought a mac. A year later (sitting on a shelf unused), I decided to install Ubuntu on the laptop and it works great, just as fast as the mac. I keep it in the family room, for me and the kids to surf the web etc. A new lease on life for free…

Ubuntu kicks ass. I dont use Windows except XP on my fileserver which is long established so don’t want to change it. Ubuntu kicks the ass off Windows IMHO.

ubuntu is as easy …
ubuntu is as easy to use as opening the command line to do everything because the UI is completely useless for any other than moving files.
I spent like 3 or 4 days just trying to install a freaking rpm thing… “it’s that easy!”
