I was in the middle of playing with a few friends, when my display got messed up. There were a whole bunch of white lines going through the screen, with red pixel design things flying across it.

Dude this happened to me when i was playing halo3 so i turned my 360 off and then powered it back on and on the screen it said system error E74 if any one knows how to fix it plz tell me thx.

It happened to me. I just sent it for repair. It was in warranty so they actually ended up replacing the whole console. The process takes around two to three weeks. Sign in your account and then register the xbox, you have to make a couple of calls, but I guess its worth it after a while. Piece of shit, they gave me a free 1 month subscription to xbox live for the hassle.

E74: AV cable error… There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it’s a scaler chip problem (the “ANA” or “HANA” chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU.

i got a 360 arcade unit for x-mas so it has the “falcon bord” on the inside right? becase to my understanding it stops the RROD tho i may be wrong i love halo 3
