I have only used …
I have only used the floppy to erase the partition so if you have the full installation disc of Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE you can put it in and Windows setup will ask you to setup your drive and the setup will set it up and it will also format it for you and it will continue to install windows without even needing to restart your computer. Please note: The process I described up above only Works with the full install Windows 98 And 98 SE cd’s it will NOT work with Upgrade discs.

It might say bad command or file name, because it it could be bad hard drive, or it does not have enough space, u can try another hard drive…see what happens, i got that message too in the past…
