My home PC’s Apple keyboard, Microsoft mouse, and Sony HDTV

It’s great not being a die-hard fan of any one brand. I have all kinds of different hardware attached to my computer, both on the inside and out. Here’s the outside, i.e. the stuff I touch and look at the most.

And a cameo appearance by my cat.

The inside of the puter:

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
2gb OCZ PC3200 LL @ 466mhz
150 gb WD Raptor 10k RPM
74 gb WD Raptor 10k RPM
300 gb Maxtor 7200 RPM
(choose 2 of 3, since I only have 2 SATA cables)
16x Memorex DVD+/-RW/DL burner
BFG Geforce 7800 GT OC
Watercooled the wussy way, by Zalman Reserator Plus (I couldn’t be arsed hearing that Geforce fan anymore, nor could I be arsed to build my own watercooling system…perfectly content paying twice as much for something that’s manufactured and supported, thank you very much :P )

Just tested out Unreal Tournament 3 on it. Boy, is it a beauty on this HDTV. The screen’s PC input resolution is 1360×768, which makes it a poor choice for HDTV viewing (since that’s 1280×720, so it upconverts ever so slightly for a wonderfully fuzzy picture), but an excellent choice for a PC monitor, since the resolution is low enough that you can read text from the couch 10 feet away without zooming the browser in.

    Jawsome for PC …
Jawsome for PC viewing.. I don’t have much HDTV content, but the bit that I do get (free over the cable line, despite that I don’t have cable TV service) looks pretty fuzzy because of scaling up from 720 to 768

    Did you just plug …
Did you just plug in the keyboard and it worked. or did you have to get drivers or soemthing? I want to do that…

    Most of it works …
Most of it works out of the box. I haven’t been able to locate any drivers for it. The special fn key (where the insert key is on most other keyboards) doesn’t do anything, nor do the extra F keys from 13 up. From what I understand, Mac OS X Leopard comes with a windows driver to use when setting up bootcamp, but this isn’t downloadable as far as I can tell.

    I think your …
I think your reslolution is to low, 720p is not so high, can you get a 8800 for your apple? Then you can run 1080p thats more like a desktop reslution for your Bravia, 24k 60Mhz.

    720p and 1080p …
720p and 1080p doesnt really matter, only if your really close to the screen.

Btw, i want that keyboard too, its great :D

He already anwered but, all USB keyboards should work without drivers, unless they have special macro key options or LCD’s in it that need software.

    im saying, 1080p is …
im saying, 1080p is only noticable if you are within a certain distance of the TV. If your like more than 4 meters away you cant see the difference between 720p or 1080p. Test it yourself.
