I’m using a laptop …
I’m using a laptop here in this video which is a gateway tablet pc. Intel dual core processors 2GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, ATI Catalyst 256MB RAM. 80GB Harddrive. I also run this on a 1.5 GHZ AMD Athlon XP processor with 1.256 gigs of RAM.

Nice. I’ll install Ubuntu 7.10 on my old computer soon, I’m looking forward to it, especially Compiz Fusion. My old computer is AMD 64 3200+, 1024 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD, GeForce FX5500 256 MB. Should run fine..

i have compiz …
i have compiz fusion on ubunto gutsy with nvida card everything running perfect but i got some q’s:
1. how do i get the snow effect since it’s not available in compiz manager
2.how can i get window depth and some other cool 3d effects in compiz fusion
3. can i have different wallpapers for each side of the cube?

the snow effect is …
the snow effect is a plugin you have to install seperatley. I for one have not installed it, but if you just google “Snow plugin for compiz fusion” you’ll have plenty of step-by-step tutorials on how to install it. I’m not sure what you mean by window depth. But wallpapers different on each side I havn’t seen. But you can have two different wallpapers on the cube caps.

Does anyone know if Ubuntu 7.10 has any proublems with ipw3945 wireless cards? Ive tried going with Opensuse and Fedora and both gave me proublems with my wireless card.
