Crop or extract regions of bitmaps or photos in Xara

This video tutorial discusses the general procedure to take to extract part of a bitmap or photo for use elsewhere.

Pixel editing software such as Photoshop is commonly used for such a task, but it is very easily done in good vector software such as Xara.

This software can be found at www.xara.com. It’s inexpensive and worth supporting.
