You know, the video ram isnt whats good about having two graphic cards. You can always set the ram on your motherboard to be dedicated to video. Having 2 GPU’s is what makes sli good.

    Since competitors …
Since competitors now have the 8800, Dell need to release it very soon now, especially since they label it as the ‘beast’. My guess is they have the hardware made, and are working on the SLI drivers.

One things for sure, as soon as its released I’ll be upgrading for sure!

i considering buying a laptop for extreme gaming, i have been advised on this laptop or told to wait for the new alienware m17x ………….. was this laptop worth the buy ?

  20. iftibashir Says:

    Its a very …
Its a very expensive piece of kit. If you want to go for extreme gaming, I would consider a desktop gaming machine. If its does need to be a laptop, then I would recommend this, but with the dual 8800GTX cards, rather then the 8700’s. Then again, TBH I havent checked up on the Alienware very much. At the moment the competition seems to be between the M1730, the M17x, an dthe Clevo/Sager.

The discs are all pre-installed. You dont need to install anything. They are simply driver and software discs you would need if you were to reformat and reinstall the system completely.
