ABSTRACT

Come learn how you can easily build your very own automated Christmas light show. I’ll present details about the hardware and software, including different “off the shelf” and “build your own” options. I’ll also show pictures and video of my setup (32 strings controlled using a combination of off the shelf and custom built components).

Texas State Technical College offers the Computer Maintenance Technology (CMT) program, in which you can get an in-depth education in all aspects of computer systems integration. The program focuses on computer hardware components, operating systems and peripheral devices. While studying computer maintenance at TSTC, you can learn computer operations, electronics, troubleshooting and repair skills. The curriculum also covers Local and Wide Area Networks (LANs and WANs), data communications, telecommunications and computer integration.
