Original promo clip for second single. Promises was a Canadian based pop group which was founded 1978 in Thousand Oaks, California. The members were the siblings Leslie Maria Knauer (born August 20, 1957 in Vancouver, vocals), Jed Knauer (born July 17, 1955 in Toronto, guitar, piano) and Benny Knauer (born October 21, 1958 in Vancouver, keyboards). Their father Peter Knauer is a German from Hamburg who moved with his children from Canada to California in the late 1960s. He was also the manager of the band and has played keyboards.
Their album “Promises” which was recorded by EMI Electrola record producer Steve Verroca became a flop in the USA and in the UK but their single “Baby it’s you” became a smash hit in Europe (especially in Germany where it reached number 4 in the charts) in February 1979 and Promises received a Gold album for more than 250,000 selling units. The song was also hugely popular in Australia, largely due to weekly programming of the original film clip on Saturday morning television variety show Hey Hey It’s Saturday, where Leslie Knauer’s performance assets (read DD cups) found great favour with audiences and the show’s presenters. The song was subsequently released on a highly popular compilation album in that market.
After the second single “Lets get back together” became much less successful (only number 18 in Germany), the group split.Duration : 0:3:6

IDEA Entertainment’s Youth Theatre Program utilizes a revolutionary approach to producing a play with children.
Our main focus is always on the enjoyment and experience the child is getting from the PROCESS of putting on a show. The end-result is not the primary goal for our program, however, because the kids in our shows are having such a good time, the end-product ends up being something our audiences really appreciate!
To understand what makes our productions different than other youth theatre programs, it is important to realize one fundamental distinction that sets our approach apart: We are parents with children in this program!
You see, we were just like all of the other parents out there looking for a fun, enriching and creative outlet for our children. After not-so-wonderful experiences with our children in dance classes and recitals, we realized that there must be a better approach for the kids, AND for the parents. So we took our vast professional experiece and devised a new program and new approach for presenting youth theatre. The result solves many of the problems we had with other programs out there.
We utilize highly sophisticated communications tools like e-mails, blogs and YouTube video postings within our web page. Each week’s choreography is videotaped and then posted on our blog site so your kid can continue to rehearse all week long. Also, you can forward links to our web page to friends and family memebers so they can see the progress of the show as the process unfolds.

On 3rd June 2007 a seed of an idea became reality, with the launch of a variety program series to support the fundraising efforts of Mission Los Niños. Mission Los Niños is a charitable organisation supporting the work of Bev Cooney and Operation Los Niños in Satipo, Peru.
SoulService is an innovative concept in entertainment, involving a diverse mix of musical performance in a relaxed, café/lounge atmoshpere. All participants including artists, donate their time and resources at zero cost, with 100% of proceeds supporting Mission Los Niños.
The innaugural SoulService program was held at the Watson Park Convention Centre, Dakabin, and featured mouth-watering cakes, pastries, biscuits, milkshakes, tea and coffee, all consumed to the sounds of such artists as ‘As Luck Would Have It’ (modern rock/pop), Greg Hodgen (soprano saxophone), Ada Richards (singer/songwriter), Chloe Richardson (violinist) and ‘Three Legged Dog’ (blues/rock 3-piece).Duration : 0:3:7

A silly but memorable 3 minute animated video demonstrating the basic structure, techniques, and pitfalls of using pointers. There are separate versions of the video for C, Java, C++, Pascal, and Ada. There is also a more traditional companion text (below) that goes with the video, and a brief history of how the video was made.
